    Bill good morning
I'm looking to see if you have any facts that you can share in regards to the photo of the head stones. I have read that the battle of the British took place around Farnum Farm which is further south of the cemetery. The way I look at the stones, if it was a cannonball the hit the grave stones it would have been traveling from the west to the east. My best guess is it would have been an American cannon that fired the ball toward the bay, but possibly a miss fire. I am a member of "you know your from Prudence if you remember when" (facebook) We have had some discussion about these stones but it all seems to be hear say

  2. I don't know much about this, I was just told it was Cannon Ball marks on this grave stone and the one behind it.
I always thought it must be from the WEST to the EAST also. I don't think the Farnum Farm is too far away.
You may want to contact my friend JOHN C. THRESHER in Wakefield, R.I. He is on the Prudence Island Historical Society.
He May know more about this or can get info on it.
I have his email but don't want to give it here.
